Our Supplier Diversity Program will:
- Reinforce the District’s Commitment to Business Development/Supplier Diversity spend
- Recognized and help build stronger business relationships that help contribute to the local economy
- Foster and nurture business relationships
- Proactively seek to procure products and services from Small/Minority/Women/Veteran owned business enterprises
- Increase our overall supplier base with whom we do business
Our program will assist Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) and Small, Minority, Women, Veteran Business Enterprises (SMWVBEs) with bid and contract opportunities through a combination of:
- Training and education – offering training and support for minority, women and veteran-owned businesses on how to do business with JPS
- Certification - verifying that businesses meet the criteria of ownership to qualify as a minority/women/veteran-owned business enterprises
- Outreach - seeking diverse suppliers through active involvement with minority development organizations and participation in various trade show events
- FWHCC (Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce)
- FWMBCC (Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce)
- USPAACC – SW (U.S. Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce – Southwest)
- WBENC – SW (Women’s Business Enterprise National Council – Southwest)
