Materials Management


The Materials Management Department provides comprehensive services for acquisition of all inpatient and outpatient needs. Procurement is responsible for developing specifications jointly with JPS departments; assessing responses to purchase requests, request for bids, request for proposals; coordinate and communicate with vendors and users; and manage supply/service contracts.

JPS utilizes a vendor called Shattuck for third party medical equipment auction/sales. Any surplus medical equipment with a value is placed with Centurion. Anyone can bid on this surplus equipment.  

Upon award of a contract, vendors must be registered with JPS Credentialing System and be in compliance with the district's requirements for vendor credentialing. 

Group Purchasing Organization 

JPS Health Network is currently a qualified participant under Vizient as its primary group purchasing organization, as well as First Choice of Tyler.


Material Management’s goal is to conduct all business with honesty, fairness, integrity, and professionalism and enforce the District compliance policy and Code of Conduct and Ethics guidelines on all matters.
